Santana's tail swished side to side in time with her pace while she padded along the hot ground. It was hot today - she couldn't stand still for too long before her paws would begin to burn. Her rounded ears swiveled on her head like sonar detectors, searching for any sign of another creature. Her triangular, dark brown nose was low to the grass, tracking scents like a dog would. Faint whiffs of another cat would pass through, then disappear again as fast as they would come. Too late to find someone else now - they were probably miles away by now. Her large, almond shaped amber eyes scanned her surroundings. Nothing but bushes, yellow grass and occasional trees. Sighing, the lioness lumbered over to a tree and threw herself to the ground, panting from the intense heat. The tree didn't provide much shade, but it was good enough for now.
A fly landed on her eye, and she blinked it away quickly. It buzzed away for a moment, then landed again on her ear. With that, she flicked her right ear backwards, watching it buzz off to find another creature to pester. She could feel more of them on her body, her legs and torso and haunches - loitering around in her fur like a million itches she couldn't scratch if she didn't want fly guts on her pelt. She shuddered at the thought, and the shaking of her body shooed the flies from their perches. The sun was shining brutally on part of her tail, peeking through the dying leaves on the tree. She swished her tail closer to her haunches, hiding it from the sunlight. The scar on her tail bothered her, the four marks from the teeth of one of her siblings as a cub and the skin that never seemed to heal. Thankfully it was on the underside of her tail, away from the harmful rays of the sun that, if it were on the other side, would burn it painfully.
The lioness stood up gracefully, then sat down, looking around. The grass was mostly dead, and her tawny fur blended well in with her surroundings. Most prey wouldn't notice Santana until they were attacked. She wasn't hungry, but she knew she had to eat soon. She hadn't had a good meal in a day or so. Absentmindedly, she began to plan out her day, from that point on. Mostly roaming, occasionally stopping to eat or drink. Her usual to-do list. The fact that she had to do it all alone bothered her in the back of her mind, but she knew once she started wandering again she'd get her mind off of making new friends.

Hips swayed from side to side persuasively to any by-passers, jutting from out her sides as the lioness seemed to twitch down an unscathed path. Desoto continued this action for quite some time, as if to seduce any male that would play her game into her ongoing trap of sorts. But then again, there was no need to persuade such actions, as she had her eye set on a certain lion at the time. As the tawny creature strolled on in the smashed grass that created an intricate maze that kind of puzzled the lioness for a while, and she rolled over onto her side. Rolling along on her side, the grass bent as her weight fell upon it, and Desoto was quite satisfied. Although lying in the tall grass wasn't the best for shade, it was better than rolling along the baking dirt.
Her tail flicking about, with a content grin, Desoto rose to her paws slowly, cautiously walking straight through the grass. One step onto dirt made her cringe, and quickly pull her paw back. She had never witnessed a day this hot on the Savannah, but it seemed to get hotter with each passing day. Placing a couple of delicate licks on her pads, she quickly jumped out onto the caked up dirt. Scrunching up her muzzle as she pressed each paw heavily onto the earth. A soft growl emitted from her, and she lurched into a sprint.
Muscles moving fiercely as they were determined to keep her body moving quickly. But not quick enough for the lioness. Trying to gain longer strides, she stretched out her legs, which made her think more-not do. Desoto continued on with a paced jog only until her lungs began to ache for air. She was only running to keep her feet from touching the ground, which was quite impossible. Unless you were one of those pesky vultures that scavenged on the prizes of others. She sneered just at the thought of such creatures, taking what was rightfully a cat's kill. With their over sized beaks and wings. 'Disgusting.' Slowing down to a heavy stroll, Desoto's salmon hued tongue stretched along her nose and cheeks, and dropped lazily on the side of her muzzle as she panted.
Her head moved side to side, looking for any figure that could offer her-A tree! A scrawny little thing but it would do. Desoto lumbered soundly towards the figure, until another one caught her eye. It wasn't one of prey-or it would definitely be in a herd. No..it was a cat. A lion...ess. She figured as she had stopped running again, and cautiously edged forward towards the feline. Crouching down as a defense mechanism, she slowly stalked around the young lioness, ears partially back as if in question. Gradually making her way towards a more shady part around the tree beside the younger lion. Yes, it was quite close for liking, as the female was but a stranger to her. But, she would manage.
At their close proximity, Desoto glared at the lioness. No, not of disliking, but of curiosity. She was studying her, eyeing her up and down obviously. Desoto observed that she must have been kicked from her pride at a young age, because she certainly was young. Well, so was Desoto nonetheless. A lioness without no pride? Hmph. Territory was passed down from mother to daughter, only sons were kicked from prides-But not in Desoto's case, no. She had fled.
Blinking quite slowly from her little flashback, she flicked her tail towards the girl, and eased her weight forward, suddenly wanting comfort. Placing her weight on her fore paws, she would nudge her head under the crook of the lioness's neck, in an attempt to nuzzle her. Desoto put herself at risk now, the lioness could easily kill her at this point, as she was revealing her own neck. But, she figured a smaller, lone lioness could do no harm. No, Desoto was invincible. Of course.

The lone hunter made his way though the Savannah and snorted softly as he looked up to the sky, he may of been alone but he was still very full of himself, it was not entirely his fault through after all he was still very young and his mane was still growing in, the heat was unbearable for the young male but as he looked around he did not see any trees close enough for him, like alot of the felines on the plains he hated the heat of the day and would love nothing more then to lay down under a nice shady tree but he could not do so because he was out on a hunt, that was the only downside he saw of not being in a pride, he would constantly have to hunt for himself not like he would allow his mate and his lionesses hunt by themselves, males who did that were nothing but a disgrace in his eyes.
after a few moments past he spotted his prey a young water buffalo that had clearly fallen behind its herd abit, the herd was still in sight but the cocky male decided that he would be able to take the buffalo down before it could get back to its herd. the male rushed out the dust kicking up behind him as he rushed at the young animal, his eyes locking down on it as he built up some more speed, slamming the buffalo's side with everything he had causing the animal to topple over but what he did not count on was the fact that his claws had sunk in abit to far causing him to fall over along with it, but this did not end the attack.
The hunter sunk his sharp canines into the Buffalo's neck, blocking the animal from getting fresh air as he held the squirming beast down with everything he had, the heat was not helping matters at all it caused the flies to kind of swarm the two massive animals, the blood pouring from the buffalo's throat but the male did not release his grip until the beast fell limp, all its fighting ceased and he was finally able to release and catch his breathe. then and only then did the male's ear swirl around toward a nearby tree, he then looked over and realized he was not as alone as he thought, but instead of being friendly the young king lowered his body over the fresh kill, letting a soft snarl escape his lips between his panting, he did not go through all that work just for two lionesses to swoop in and benefit from it!.

Santana didn't notice the other lioness at first, but when she felt the sting of a glare, her head swung towards the feline. Her amber eyes widened in surprise, and her instincts made her back away slowly, like a child would back away from a scary movie, or an intimidating bully. But she saw the longing in her eyes, for company, for comfort. And Santana, through whatever told her to respond positively, nuzzled the lioness in return. It was nothing personal, nothing too special - just a small movement of her head, brushing her chin on the stranger's muzzle.
Then, her eyes opened, and she backed away again, huddling by the rough, dry bark of the dying tree. Her ears flattened in some sort of intimidation, her eyes showing fear and cautiousness. Not one bit of anger or aggression showed, nor did she feel any.The lioness was bigger than her, and older, by the looks of it.
Her ears swiveled up again when she heard the shriek and growling of another creature. No, creatures. Two, a male lion and a buffalo that seemed to be on the short end of the stick. She frowned, a bit hurt to see an animal being hunted. She had done it so many times before, and each one affected her emotionally. Many teased her about this, calling her weak and spineless, saying that she didn't have any reason to be so saddened by a simple hunt. But these animals, they didn't do anything to deserve their life being taken from them. That was why she preferred to eat the dates off of trees here and there, as well as developing the will the keep her appetite small and not having to eat a day at a time.
She turned to look at the male. Handsome, and young, like herself. The lioness tilted her head, her stomach growling when she saw the fresh prey. But she couldn't go over there, she had to admit that the male scared her a bit, the way he hunkered over his prey and snarled at the two of them. She looked at her new acquaintance, flashing a small smirk in just slight amusement. She crept towards her, ever so slowly, and sat down in front of her, her tail curling around her paws.
"I'm Santana,"
Her voice was a bit high, but it was expected, she was young. It was a welcoming greeting. It was very, very uncommon to give her name to someone she didn't know, but she automatically trusted the stranger. Something about her reassured her that she wouldn't do any harm to the young lioness. She then turned to the male, a surge of confidence running through her veins. Her head raised, confident and sure, and she stood up, her haunches high and her tail swaying being her. She trotted over to the lion, sitting just a few feet away from him again. She was well aware of the danger she was in, but for some reason she wasn't afraid.
Well, not that she could feel at the moment.

Ah, the sweet essence of a fresh kill radiated in the atmosphere. The lioness blinked slowly, and turned her head to and fro trying to figure out where the pounding of a hunt was coming from. She rose and made a movement to stand when her attention was averted back to the young lion. A questioning look smeared over her facial features as the lioness backed away with an intimidated expression. Stepping forward, with her ears forward and head down, a sly smile was tempting to pull at the corners of her lips.
Desoto jumped nervously when the heavy thud of two animals fell to the ground-with a young lion on top, hanging on to the beast like it was life itself. From being surprised, Desoto crouched low, audits bound to her skull, as a sickening growl emanated deep within the woman's throat. Languidly proceeding onward towards the male and his kill she was tempted to take, her actions were cut short when the adolescent sat herself in front of her. Bewildered, she raised her head to look down at her, and stepped a couple of paces back. The female in front of her looked like a clueless juvenile. Now intrigued, she exhaled her breath, casually peering over her shoulder at the male and her soon to be meal.
"I'm Santana." A lovely little melody maneuvered its way towards Desoto. She had never heard such a sweet, alluring harmony, and it almost made her melt. A motherly affection pooled with great amounts into her, showing almost instantly in her golden eyes. "Hello there," Desoto murmured as she stretched her frame into that of the younger lioness's. "I'm Desoto." A subtle purr rang in her vocals, stepping in a circle around the female in a loving gesture. She would lower her stance, rubbing her head in the same spot she had nuzzled her before. Standing up straight again, she tried to place cherished licks on her face.
Since Desoto had lost her sons, Santana was the youngest feline she had encountered since. And she instantly felt a bond and a possession over her. With the male back in sight, she leaned to the side to place another gentle nudge into the lioness, and strolled fluidly towards the male with a low, rapacious growl starting to form. Crouching as low as her appendages would allow, she stalked around the male and his prize in a couple of complete circles, she stopped to look at his features. A male of course, he rank of the foul stench of testosterone and dirt. Along with the stench, he looked very young, since he only had tufts of hair around his neck for a mane.
Relaxing her posture, she laid down looking up at the male with a calm expression. After a few moments had passed, she quickly moved her fore paw forward to touch the kill to see if the lion would do anything. She stood up, and with a mischievous grin and flick of her tail, she jumped forward, nipping at the meat and quickly retracting her head. More playful then anything, she ignored his defensive stature, and raised a paw to bat it across his face. She would have to get on the male's 'good side'. Since, she was pretty sure she couldn't run away with a water buffalo calf.

Taka watched as the lionesses seemingly tried to figure out what they should do, but then the older one came over and started to mess with his kill which just angered the male even more and caused him to yank and pull the kill further away from the two lionesses as he this time stood in between the kill and the two lionesses, t was when the males voice boomed out into the semi-quiet air, it was so strong and demanding despite his appearance. "what do you think your doing?!", it was clear by the male's tone that he was not to pleased by his uninvited dinner guests but he was not one to start a fight and his anger soon faded away, his eyes drifted from the older lioness to the younger one as a sly grin formed onto his muzzle.
he stepped toward the older female first as he rubbed against her until he reached her rump, he gently nipped on her rump softly as he then looked over at the younger lioness and padded over licking her cheek, "i'm so sorry about my rudeness its just the heat.. it causes us to act strange ya know?, anyway i'm taka.. prince taka.. or i use to be prince.. now.. i'm nothing..", the apex predator said as he then got lost in his musing , thinking about his past about his former pride, the love that he had lost but that really did not apply here, mere feet away two lionesses stood before him just itching to get at the fresh kill that laid a little distance behind him. a renewed sense of pride filled the young lion as he stood up straight puffing out his chest abit as he padded back to the kill.
As he then looked back at the lionesses, only this time there was a spark in his eyes as he smiled softly, if he could convince them to eat with him then perhaps he had a chance of creating his own pride, using them to bear his children, as mean as that sounded he would not force them into anything for seeing that he is a gentle feline and a kind ruler would do much more then being a slave driver ever could.after all he hated males who did nothing more then use their power to abuse any and all lionesses under their control, he had been in a pride and he saw just how cruel a king could be to his subjects and he vowed that he would never ever wind up like that, he turned to the lionesses and then stepped aside so they could get to the kill, " go on.. enjoy"
He then padded around the young lioness a few times after winking at her older friend, he then whispered something into the younger females right ear, as he padded away he was proud that he had just invited her to be within his pride, as long as it was okay with her friend of course but he couldn't help but wonder if they knew what role they would perhaps play in the fore-mentioned pride, he laid down beside the kill and looked up at his lovely guests his tail swaying back and forth, "come on cuties i don't bite..much"

Santana committed her new friend's name to memory. Desoto. It vaguely, just in the back of her mind, reminded her of her mother, just a fraction of a second long vision of her cubhood. She pushed the thoughts away, but they returned when the crest of the older lioness's head rubbed against her chin, and she felt Desoto lick her cheek. She stirred in remembrance, her cubhood, her mother, her friends, her family. She saw herself, chasing her brothers through the brush, laughing and leaping over bushes and growing saplings, tagging his side and darting off, only to be tagged and to try to tag him again. But then, something went wrong, horribly wrong, and her brother Coby hid in a den. She heard yowls and roars, and before she knew it the dream was over.
Her eyes opened with a blink, and she felt the need to know more. But she couldn't remember anything else. She looked at Desoto, and the vision faded from her mind ever so quickly. Santana shook it from her head and turned her attention to the young male, watching him as he dragged his prey farther away from her friend, who had playfully batted him across the face. She watched as his emotions changed and he turned into a charming young lion. She growled protectively when he began to rub against Desoto, which turned to somewhat of a quiet purr as he licked her own cheek. He introduced himself, and she nodded, committing his name to memory as well. "Santana," She replied with a bit of a purr to it, along with caution.
Surprising her, he stepped aside from his kill, encouraging the lionesses to eat some. She padded forward gently, like a kitten, nibbling at a piece of fresh meat. She smiled at the taste; she had forgotten how it tasted on her tongue. All she had eaten recently were fruits on trees, which were good enough for her, but meat was an occasional meal for the young cat. She nibbled again, and again, before taking a bigger bite and comfortably laying down to enjoy her meal.
She glanced up at the male, and as she did, he whispered something gently into her right ear. Her left ear swiveled, her right staying still. She thought about his offer into his pride, and she closed her eyes in thought. "I'll think about it," she said quietly, before taking another bite. She was full in seconds, and smiled. The feline stood up, and pawed at his tail and haunches, wanting to play. She pushed him lightly with her paws on his side, grinning with a playful twinkle in her eyes.

A chuff emanated slowly from her muzzle, as the male hauled the carcass away from her. Raising her upper lip to unveil her yellowed canines while an agitated growl slipped from her tongue. "What do you think you're doing?!" Rang the mighty voice of the young male. Desoto only lowered her head, while sustaining another growl, as she inched closer towards the carcass. It was when she lowered her head did the bulky form of the male caress against her side.
Desoto straightened out her back, stretching out her muscles, purring lowly. She turned her head back to look at the lion when he had nipped at her hindquarters with a smug look on her face. Dismissing the two from her mind, she laid herself down and decided would offer herself dinner. Jowls spread around the meat, before she could even rip it away, the male had strolled back to where she was. He had stood there for a moment, and before the lion invited them to eat, Desoto finally took a bite of the meat.
Blood oozing from her mouth, as she wolfed down the chunk of meat, barely chewing it as it settled heavily into the pit of her stomach. It didn't take long before Desoto had her fill, and she continued to eat, as lions were known to gorge food. Rolling on her back, it felt she had gained so much weight, and became lethargic instantly. She crossed her paws over her chest looking at Santana and the male whom's name she had forgotten. Or, just hadn't bothered to listen.
Heaving herself onto her paws, she strolled towards Santana, and tried to bury her face in her neck, before turning towards the male, and nodded her head stiffly. "I must take my leave, now. She stated, and trotted in the opposite direction of the two. Desoto was no fool, it was obvious the adolescents would fancy some alone time. At the thought, Desoto now craved some attention from the older lion she had met, Mufasa be his name. With a wry grin the lioness padded on, to find a shady, dry place to rest for the rest of the day.
-Exit Desoto-

A few moments after arriving the older of the two females stated that she had to go, this kind of saddened the young male although it did not show, he checked her out as she walked away watching her hips sway back and forth, of course he made sure that the younger lioness did not see him doing this, otherwise she might get upset and leave as well. as soon as the other lioness desoto was her name was out of sight, Taka decided to make his move and slowly slid over laying down beside the lioness known as santana, a very warm smile on his muzzle as he gently nuzzled her neck, inhaling her beautiful scent, something compelled him to stay by her side even through they had just met, he felt differently then he had when he met other lionesses, he didn't feel this way when he met desoto either, he could not explain it but it felt good.
"So we're finally alone beautiful", the male's voice had suddenly broken the silence that had been put in place by desoto's sudden exit, the young hunter simply watched the lioness eat her fill before slowly reaching up taking a bite out, blood dripping down his maw as he gulped down another piece of raw meat, he then pulled back and looked at his company, by the way she had enjoyed the meat he could only assume that either she hadn't eaten in a while or she had found something else to eat, because she had really enjoyed his kill not that he minded sharing it after all she was one of the most beautiful lionesses hes seen in a very long time.
"Its good to see your enjoying yourself" the male chuckled softly as he then leaned over gently licking some blood off of the lioness's maw in a polite and pleasent way, he did not want to freak her out by any means, he adored her and her very personality, she was so charming he had to resist every urge and voice in his head that was screaming at him to claim her already, he wanted her to join his pride of her own free will but because of the time of the season his body had different thoughts about her. "not trying to rush anything but have you made your choice?"

Smiling at Taka's presence beside her, Santana playfully pawed at his muzzle and tore another piece of meat off of the buffalo. She could feel the recently killed prey's blood seeping into her fur on her chin, and it felt good for the young lioness. She lifted her haunches slightly, then settled back down on her hind legs, ready to spring up and keep walking if any danger was presented. She was sure it wasn't, but every lion would lay down this way when eating, really.
Santana almost shouted "no!" when Desoto nuzzled her a last time and left. she had taken a liking to the older female and didn't want her new friend to leave. She only gave her small, sad smile and nodded in understanding before turning back to the male. She did not speak back to him as he called her beautiful, and did not speak again afterwards at his next comment. She did purr, though, quite loudly in contentment and happiness as he licked her maw gently. She turned her head towards him and closed her eyes. She then opened them again, and nuzzled his gold mane.
He was so nice to her, unlike any other male lion she had ever met. He was arrogant, she had to give him that - but he was sweet. He wasn't a brute, he didn't just shoo her away like many others. He cared. She looked at him when he asked the important question, had she made her decision. She close her eyes, and nodded. She wanted to agree. She had to. She wasn't going to let down another opportunity, another chance to be happy again.
"I will join your pride," She declared softly, and smiled at him, before it turned into an excited, pleasant grin.

"I will join your pride,"
This brought a sly grin to the male's blood spatted maw, he cocked his head to the right and leaned over gently nipping her playfully on her hip before letting out a soft purr. he nuzzled her chin reassuringly, he figured that she was depressed about the older female that had left but if Taka knew his brother as well as he thought he did then a fine piece of tail like Desoto would not get to far without being his mate. he was so sure about that fact and knew that this beautiful lioness before him did not want to lose her new friend, he was sure that his brother would of gladly accepted two mates but as sort of his rival taka was not about to just allow that to happen, Sanatana was his and only his, his scent was all over her now so any male would know that she was a claimed lioness,
"Don't worry i'm sure we'll be seeing her again" he would lay down in front of her, gently pressing his nose completely against hers, so there was no gap between them, his chest against hers. everyone knew that the guesture was the same as a human kiss, it was just another way for lions to express their love. he pulled back a few inches and decided to finish his sentence. "we'll see her real soon trust me"
After that he turned to the kill and gently bit off a chunk and while still holding it with his teeth, he turned and offered the other end of it to her, his tail swaying back and forth waiting for her to accept his offer once again, but little did she know that it was just a trick to get her to press her nose against his, Taka may not of been as big or as strong as his brother but he was definitively smarter.

Santana was surprised when Taka had settled down in front of her and pressed his nose against hers. She closed her eyes slowly, then opened them, giggling childishly and licking his nose. She placed her paw on top of his. She noticed how small her paw was compared to his - by inches, hers was below average size for a lioness.
She watched him rip off a piece of red meat and gladly took the offer to consume the other half of it. She had fallen into his trick, little did she know, and her nose touched his gently. She grinned and quickly ate her piece of meat, pressing her nose against his and scooting a bit closer to him. She also pressed her muzzle against his, her whole front against his, making sure there was nothing and no space in between them. She then rubbed her head on his neck lovingly, making sure her scent was on him, like the way his scent was in her fur.
"What do you mean by that?" She asked quietly. She didn't know he was the brother of a King, and that King was apparently Desoto's love. And later on, she would find out, that she was the new Betess of this pride Taka had compelled her into joining. All of this not in the young lioness's knowledge, but as long as she got to see her friend Desoto again she was eager to hear his answer to his question.

The male chuckled softly and gently wrapped his frame around hers, she was his and he was going to make sure everyone knew it, he could not put his paw on it but just being with her felt so right, she actually brung out his better side, he leaned over and licked her cheek one more time, about this time a cool breeze blew through the area which was kind of strange given that the sun was still up above but anyway Taka was not going to complain about it , it felt nice and honestly he was not going anywhere without Santana by his side, he did not care if his brother had told them they had to meet up or not,he was going to spend time with his girl before introducing her to his brother, the king. ugh he hated having to introduce his brother that way,
when he did so he felt as who ever he was with was going to judge him, all because he was not the king, but for some reason santana did not seem like that kind of lioness, so he was starting to feel better about telling her about his brother, in fact he started to think that it would cheer her up to know that desoto was most likely with him as they spoke, because he was the only king around, after awhile taka decided to speak up."what i mean is..shes most likely with my brother..the king of Hysperia."
It looked almost as if it hurt him to say the king part, but then again he had lionesses run off on him after finding out that his brother was the king but for some reason his brother always rejected them then came after him and accused him of sending them to him which was completely untrue, he did not know how his brother would react when he walked up with santana but they were not going to find out by laying on their tails all day, this is when he decided to speak up again, "he's most likely waiting for us, want to go?"

Santana closed her eyes when she felt him lick her cheek. She shuddered slightly, seeing that flashback return again. But this time is was continued, dashing after her brother, tagging him - she saw it all again, but it kept going. She heard the roar of flames and a different roar, of a lion. She recognized it. Her father, he was different from the other males in the pride, he cared for his son and daughter, instead of just teaching them so they could fend for themselves. He left that for their mother and he protected them, he never let them leave his sight. She could hear the echoes of her and Coby's names, and the pounding of paws fleeing the territory. She knew what was happening. And she couldn't believe it.
Her eyes opened and she yelped, pulling away from Taka, frightened and shaken from her daydream. She placed her paws on her ears, the noises still rattling in her head. She saw the disgust on his face, and for a moment she thought it was because of her, but it was a different kind of disgust. It was the kind where you hated something. Not when you were confused or didn't want it to happen, but it had already happened and you hated thinking about it. She then nuzzled her head into his mane, seeking comfort from her nightmare. She then heard his voice, and she understood what he meant. He was a prince, though it did not change her thoughts.
She looked up at him, and flopped onto her side, snuggled between his paws, her head rested in the groove in the front of his neck. She began to wonder what that meant on her terms. If he was a prince of a pride, and she was his mate - she was a princess. Santana smiled at the thought. She felt like a princess around Taka, for some reason he just made her feel that way. She couldn't explain it, but she knew she wasn't going to let it stop any time soon. She listened to him as he spoke again, asking her if she wanted to leave to see his brother. She sucked in a short breath, a gasp of slight surprise. But the shock faded as quick as it came and she nodded. "Let's go," She agreed as she wriggled her way out from his paws and stood up on her own, shaking sand from her pelt and walking in an aimless direction, her hips swaying elegantly.

The hunter smiled and rose to his pads before padding after her, easily closing the gap that the lioness had created between them. he gently nuzzled along her side as he pulled along side her, he then nuzzled her neck letting out a teasing purr escape his maw right next to her ear. he then pulled ahead of her and crossed her path to change her direction, he did not want to tell her that she as going the wrong way, because she kind of was going in the right direction she was just off by a few feet. his tail gently entwined with hers. he then slowed down and matched her pace almost perfectly. he opened his maw to speak but her beauty took his words away, all the big cat could do was purr and nuzzle her.
Finally after a few moments the young king was finally able to find the words that he had lost before, "you had a chance to leave with your friend.. why did you stay? not that i'm complaining or anything" he looked toward her with a half way smile, he loved her more then anything but he had to make sure that he was not being used again, then again if she was not interested in him then perhaps she would of left with her friend, the more he thought about the question he had asked her the more he felt like a moron for asking it, for all he knew it could drive her straight into mufasa's paws now!, how could he have been so stupid!, he shook his head and tried to play it off by chuckling softly, but any lion or lioness could easily see how nervous he was, sure she had his scent on her but that meant very little to his big brother mufasa, if he wanted a female then there was no stopping him, he would use his charms to win them over.
About now he could smell the faint smell of his brothers lands, sure most of the border markers were placed by his brother but he had also made taka help out after all it was a pretty big territory for one lion to patrol and mark all day, if the lion had to do that then they would have no time to hunt, he knew that his brother would most likely be his normal self when taka arrived with santana, he never was the over-excited greeting type, taka had grown use to this trait in his brother but he also knew that mufasa would more then likely take an interest in santana as well as her friend desoto. he was sure that desoto would not allow mufasa to take santana but then again mufasa has always had a stubborn side when it came to females and his pride, he always like that the lionesses belonged to him and what not, but not this time things were going to change, taka had claimed santana as his mate and nothing was going to change that.
ooc: This is taka's exiting post but i'ma let you post the exit post so they leave at the same time.
