The lioness was clearly not happy by what she had seen, it was true that she was excited to see her younger sister but watching her back down to a tiger just made nala's blood boil, she would never ever yell at her sister, especially not right after they were reunited but she was sure that her sister could feel and see her disappointment in her, when nala left desoto had been ready to take on any comers but now the scarred lioness had returned to find her once brave sister backing down to a pair of tigers, and the male lion that was with her did nothing!. oh she knew that male well enough heck she even knew his name thanks to some somewhat unwilling wittnesses, Mufasa seemed like a strong name but after what she had seen she held no respect for him at all and her sister was about to learn that, she turned toward her sister and stopped. "What the hell were you doing out there, with that...mufasa.." she spat his name out as if it were distasteful or poisonous
She wasted little time rubbing on her sister and smiling, a soft purring coming from her maw as she to rub herself against her younger kin, as she did so she gently nipped her hip and that was when she smelt a strange scent coming from under her sister's tail, as she checked it out she learned of her sister's 'playtime' with mufasa, needless to say her rage almost doubled as her purring turned into snarling she stepped away from her kin a few inches and snapped at her, " you mated with him!?!", anyone could tell that the lioness was beyond mad now, she felt as if her own sister had disgraced her family. but then again desoto had to of known that she would find his scent under her tail, or that she would detect her body changing, preparing for motherhood.
"how could you disgrace your family!" The lioness now circled her younger sibling, as she would do to a injured prey animal. waiting for her sister to respond her tail swaying back and forth the look in her eyes was complete rage.

The anger was practically radiating off of her sibling's body. Desoto glanced wearily around, and slowed her pace so she was not going to catch the fumes that were sure to come. The rusty hued lioness was dumbfounded as to why Nala was angered. Did she do anything? Desoto couldn't even recall her saying anything! So, it must have been something she did. The female tried to retrace her steps- try to figure out what she had done. But, in the end, she could find nothing that would anger her. She glanced at the dark-eyed lioness before her sister had stopped and turned to face her.
"What the hell were you doing out there, with that...Mufasa.." His name alone sent a shiver to course through her body. After realizing what she had said, she set a glare on the green-eyed woman. How did she know about Mufasa? Well, he was there when Desoto had seen her. But, there was no way she could have known his name. Unless. They knew each other? Did Mufasa and her sister have intertwined pasts? It was surely possible, Desoto hadn't seen or known of Nala's whereabouts in years. This sent a flood of doubt and resentment in the pit of Desoto. Something so strong she had never witnessed before.
"That holds of no concern to you." Desoto said flatly, and turned her head as if disinterested with her sister. Why did she need to know? Exactly, she didn't need to. It seemed Nala's whole demeanor when she had started to purr and rub along her body. Slightly confused, Desoto followed suit and purred lowly, stretching out her length and rubbing her head down the side of Nala until she was curved around her hindquarters. Feeling the ting of her sister's teeth on her hip, she bent her head and slowly grazed her canines along her skin.
It was like a secret handshake of sorts, for the sisters. To rub along each other and then nip at the other's hip. Desoto smiled and rested her head along the bony structure of Nala's rump. Suddenly, the lioness's eyes bugged, and her lips parted in disbelief at what her sister was doing. ..What was she doing? And then, she heard her sister's accusations. "You mated with him!?!" She cringed, and tensed her muscles, and her whipping tail froze in the air as if she was caught doing something she wasn't supposed to. Apparently, she had done something she wasn't supposed to.
She turned her head and frowned as Nala backed away as if in disgust. How could such a thing that would bring new life and joy into the world be disgusting? Desoto shook her head, and took a step forward towards Nala. "Is it not ovbious?" She lowered her head the slightest, to peer up at her sister with a sly, questioning gaze. The lioness then regained her posture, and raised a paw to waft in the air. "Why do my actions bring such worry and concern to you, sister?" Desoto was speaking nonchalantly, clearly not caring how angered Nala might be at the moment.
At this rate, Desoto was feeling as livid as she knew Nala was. Why was Nala holding such concern that she had given herself up to a male? Or was it the fact that it was Mufasa? She shouldn't care what her sister did with a male, or when for that matter. This brought back the previous worries that Mufasa and Nala might be ex-lovers of some kind. The rusty lioness twitched noticeably and flicked her ears rapidly, before swerving to meet the dark pools of her sister.
"How could you disgrace your family!" Desoto took a step back as if Nala's words physically hurt her. 'Disgrace my family..' No! She did no such thing, Desoto was only continuing on her family lines. That's no disgrace! Desoto had become uneasy when Nala had started to circle her. Stalk her like she was prey- a weaker being. Desoto's upper lip became to curl over her teeth, slowly baring her fangs. She wanted to submit, to bow down to her sister. To let her know she still respected her. But. How could she do such a thing when she was a new branded Queen!
Desoto's ears swiveled back, plastered onto her skull, as she slowly crept towards Nala. Breathing heavily, she swiped an unsheathed paw through the air. Aiming for the air right in front of her, so she was just out of reach. Continuing forward, she stopped, and angled her head downward, teeth still bared as she eased her weight forward trying to press her forehead against her sister's. She stared into her eyes for a moment, almost as enticing as she had found Mufasa's. "What is a disgrace in your eyes, hmm? Finding your love and submitting to them?! If so, you are more mad then the last time I saw you." Desoto then took a step back and started to pace in a tight circle, all the while growling.
She couldn't believe how ignorant her sister was acting! Shouldn't she be happy her younger sister found a mate? Desoto was still bewildered how she could disgrace her family by finding a mate. Blinking slowly, she let her limbs go and fell sluggishly onto her side, whipping her tail from side to side, she glanced at Nala before stretching lazily, and sprawling her self out onto the dusty ground. "What do you have against Mufasa?" She whispered out to her sister, and slightly lifted her head to scrutinize her again.

The lioness was slightly taken aback by the way her sister had reacted but this served no other purpose but to just anger the already pissed off lioness even more, her kid sister had dared to snap at her and question, without thinking the huntress lunged forward pinning her own sibling beneath herself, but unlike she normally would when attacking something, her claws were not extended thus proving that even in a fit of rage she still had her sister's best interest in mind, if she had not then she would of attacked her like she had done to countless other lions and lionesses alike, she just stared at her sister allowing her to speak as much as she wished.
"That holds of no concern to you."
"it doesn't..does it?" the lioness actually seemed abit hurt by this statement and stepped off of her younger sibling, she shook her head from side to side as she walked a few meters away and then stopped, this was one of the reasons she did not like prides much everyone felt so entitled to everything, sure she expected that from the strangers that she met every once and awhile but not from her own sister. she had thought their mother had thought them better, finally after a few moments of nothing but silence nala finally spoke up again. "you may not believe it but it does concern me.. i've given up so much to keep you safe.."
the lioness then turned toward her sister as she heard her next two comments but she chose to ignore the one about the pregnancy, the next words though brought back memories,..memories she never wanted to relive but her sister had a right to know. "Why do my actions bring such worry and concern to you, sister?", Nala padded up and gently nudged under her sister's chin sighing deeply as she did so, she did not know how she was going to break the news to her but she put it in the softest way she could. " Desoto..i care for you.. because we are the last of our families bloodline"
"What is a disgrace in your eyes, hmm? Finding your love and submitting to them?! If so, you are more mad then the last time I saw you."
The huntress had to look away in a hurry as her sister up wittingly brought up a very hurtful memory for her, her ex-mate Derek.. the one who had attempted to take her own sister's life, she loved him dearly but she would not allow him to kill a member of her family, sure she stayed with him for close to a year or two after the attack. but that was only because he had told her he did not mean any disrespect. nala found out the hard way just how false this was, a tear ran down the usually unshaken felines cheek before falling to the sand before her. " Derek.. is not one of us.. not anymore.."
"What do you have against Mufasa?"
"against him personally..nothing.." nala turned toward her sister another tear making its way though her fur on her maw, she stared into her sister's eyes, nala's demeanor had changed and done a 180 within a matter of moments, but she could not help but see the same little cub standing before her the same cub she use to play with when she was younger. when the huntress spoke again her voice was actually trembling more tears forming in her eyes. "i..i just don't want you.. to make the same mistake..that i did.."

A breath and the lioness was heaved backwards and landed heavily on her back. A noisy gust of air was pulled from her lungs as Nala tackled and pinned her onto the ground, which in her mind was painful. Desoto tried to gain the lost air her lungs required, and grunted as she turned her gaze to fixate on the jade colored eyes of her's. Out of practical instinct, she curled her lips over her enamel, baring her fangs as a curdling growl slowly emanated from her throat. Subsiding the defensive snarl quickly, she dropped her head onto the ground, and peered up at her sibling as her heart began to pound at a consistent pace.
"It doesn't...does it?" Desoto's ears swiveled back against her cranium as she heard the unmistakable grief in her kin's voice. The younger lioness followed Nala's form when she stepped off her, and Desoto rolled onto her paws. With her frame lowered, she crept slowly to the side of her sister, head down, she flicked her tongue out towards her cheek, trying to comfort her sister. Desoto had not meant for her words to harm her, she was just saying what was on her mind and what she felt. The younger sister would lean her weight towards Nala, trying to rub her cheek along her's. Desoto felt entitled to make her sister feel better, she was surprised her words had penetrated the hard demeanor Nala put out and played well. Maybe it was the fact she knew most of her words didn't get to her sister, and it didn't make any difference now.
After a few moments of only hearing silent breathing and the wind whistling, Nala finally spoke up; "You may not believe it, but it does concern me.." The lioness side stepped with a grimace on her face, wondering why Nala felt the need to know everything about her. Desoto padded around the older lion's embodiment, trying to face her, and reluctantly let her carry on. "I've given up so much to keep you safe." Not once had Desoto thought about how Nala was always there for her- always protecting her, always sticking up and putting up with her antics. Briskly, Desoto dropped her head to hide the sorrowful look on her face.
The younger lioness exhaled slowly as Nala nudged her chin up to look at her. "Desoto..I care for you.. because we are the last of our family's bloodline" Desoto's chest heaved, and she fell on her haunches in a sitting position. How could their whole pride be deceased? She highly doubted it. Not because she didn't believe her sister, but she couldn't bear the though of her family dead. No, not possible. "H-how? What happened? What about Mother?" Questions flew from her tongue as quickly as they formed in her mind. Desoto looked up at Nala with child-like, questioning eyes.
The younger lioness watched as Nala hastily turned away from her and seemed to be contemplating drastically on something. "Derek... is not one of us.. not anymore.." At the note of the lion's name, Desoto was noticeably taken aback, and gasped audibly. She didn't know the lion all too well, as she though Nala did. But she knew he was the one who tried to murder her in her early years for a reason she had no knowledge of. Maybe he was just sick in the head, or something on the lines of mental madness. "I'm glad you disbanded him from your heart. He was no good for you, Nala." Desoto spoke truthfully, and hopefully Nala wouldn't say anything that contradicted herself.
"Against him personally...nothing..." Deso breathed a sigh of relief, a sudden ray of happiness sparking across her facial features. She slowly cocked her head to the side as Nala was still dismal about something. Perhaps she wasn't over Derek? Desoto mentally shook her head and rolled her eyes, and pushed away the distasteful thought. Apparently, her sister was still grieving over something, no matter it be something big or small, Desoto was supposed to help her. The lioness leaned forward onto her paws, and rubbed her length along that of her sister's. Her ears swiveled around, straining to hear the words she was speaking. "I...I just don't want you... to make the same mistake... that I did..." After rubbing her cheek on her sister's, she glanced at her before retorting, "I won't. I learned from you." Desoto said quite flatly.
With her muzzle partly parted, she reached up a fore paw to try and wrap around her sister's neck. She didn't want this whole reunion to be about grief and sorrow. So, she was trying to change the mood with a little play. Hauling her weight on her side to try and throw Nala off balance, if she was successful she would land on top of her and quickly scramble off to bat her paws in her sister's face. Leaning over, with her hindquarters in the air, her tail lashed out behind her, as she cocked her head to the side with a mischievous grin. Desoto would lurch forward, forepaws outstretched to try and grip the folds of skin around her kin's neck. And if her aim was correct, she would tumble forward with her sister in her grasp.
After their little romp, Desoto would stretch out on her side looking over at Nala with her tongue lolling from her muzzle. Outstretching her forearm again to try and gain possession of her neck, to pull her closer to her. Breathing quite heavily, she looked her sister over, before, with an elated expression. "Sister," She breathed. "I want you to come with me- to the pride. To my pride." It would be everything in the world for her, to have her sister their with her. "I want you stay with me, I don't want to lose you again. Please." Desoto practically begged. And leaned her forehead to press against her sister's. She squinted, trying to look for any expression change that would undoubtedly say Nala wouldn't come with her. Wouldn't be with her. It was crush her heart, and potentially those of her unborn cubs. For, she would tell stories of her fearless, and strong sister. And it would be a pity for them to not know her.
Desoto flicked her tongue from her muzzle, swiping it across her sister's face while a whine emitted from her vocals. Gaining her feet, she tried to step over top of her sister, leaning down to look at her. The younger sister would try to nudge her head under the crook of her sister's neck, nuzzling her and giving her a short, deep purr. "Please," the lioness addressed again. Desoto regained her posture, and peered down at her sister, with a questioning smile. Trying to urge her to come with her. The rusty hued lioness whined again, and sent a series of licks along Nala's neck and face, whilst burying her head into her chest. "Please." She murmured into her body, dragging out the word as if she were an immature adolescent trying to snag some precious treat of sorts. It only showed how deeply Desoto wanted her sister by her side once more. She didn't want to lose the last of her family. No, not at all.

The lioness purred softly feeling her sister's tongue making its way though the fur on her cheek. this caused the huntress to smile softly she truly felt her sister's love.she then gently pushed on her sister's side that if done right would wind up with her sister once again on her back, the huntress laughed softly and looked at her sister before returning a lick to her soft neck, she loved nothing more then her sister, well maybe messing with her but still it was all in good fun, she was sure that her sister would understand, after all she always did anyway,
"H-how? What happened? What about Mother?"
"nothing sis wow still as gullible as ever" the lioness chuckled softly as she nipped her sister's nose before laying down, she knew that her sister would be abit upset about her 'joke' but still it was all in good fun and she still loved her sister, she seriously doubted that desoto would ever turn her back on her especially over a simple little joke, no matter what her mate thinks she will always be desoto's family, that was more important then any mate even if he was the father of her first litter or not,
"I'm glad you disbanded him from your heart. He was no good for you, Nala."
"yeah..me to..", the sorrow was clear in the usually deadly huntress's voice, she still remembered all the good times that they use to have together, all the times that he had taken her hunting and allowed her to kill the prey instead of killing it himself, but then he crossed the line when he tried to kill her little sister, sure they had stayed together but still after that she did not really trust him anymore, heck she even refused to let him mate with her like they had been planning on doing, so many lions would of said that the break up was undeniable , it still hurt all the same though. she listened as her sister proclaimed that she had learned from her mistake and nala smiled softly,.
"Sister, i want you to come with me- to the pride. To my pride."
"i don't know.." in all honesty nala had never really thought of joining another pride, her mother's pride was the only one that she had ever known and honestly it was not all that great, everyone besides her mother and sister just used to love taking advantage of her, sure she use to kick their tails for it but she would be the one to wind up in trouble, always getting yelled at by her so called father, it actually came to a point that she wanted him to just die, his name tasted foul on her tongue and she refused to speak it.
"I want you stay with me, I don't want to lose you again. Please."
This new sentence actually snapped the lioness from her trance, before she could respond though she heard her sister starting to beg her, it kind of melted her heart after all this time her sister truly wanted her in her pride, she could not see how she could turn around and reject her sister's offer, even if she did not approve of the male she would have to swallow her pride and say her sorry to him, she had to just so she could keep an eye on her sister, "Fine fine stop your begging, gosh your worse then mother" nala said with a chuckle as she stared at her sister.

"Nothing sis. Wow, still as gullible as ever." The resentment pooled with ease out of her heart as she exhaled a waiting breath. Although, as soon as she took another her lip curled slightly over her fangs, disturbed at how little 'joke' Nala decided to pull on Desoto. She felt no need to reply to the comment, she didn't want to start any conflict, and thus she kept her lips zipped. Although the russet lioness was used to such things, such a matter as a whole pride dead should not be something to fool around with. Only showing the immature but slightly wicked side of her sister.
Her head jerked back as the sharp canines belonging to Nala nicked her nose. She jumped to her pads, and rubbed a paw along her muzzle, blowing gusts of mucus from her nostrils. A brisk, low growl rattled her esophagus, as she eyed her sibling irritatedly. "Yeah...me too..." Desoto looked up, and slowly placed her paw back down to graze the molten earth. Her audits swiveled on her cranium, hearing the grief in her voice..with a touch of longing. Desoto's eyes slitted at her own accusation, and slowly pulled herself into a sitting position.
"I don't know.." This was how her sister answered her offer-her plead to come to the pride. With a shaky sigh, her heart began to quiver in her chest, and her eyes rounded with a foreign sadness. As Desoto stood again, she padded over and nodded her head to nudge weakly at the side of her sister. In a sort of farewell. "Fine, fine stop your begging. Gosh, you're worse than Mother." The russet lioness's ears swiveled around frantically as if trying to figure out if her mind would keep taunting her. But, no. Those were the words that floated gently from Nala's own black lips.
Hastily her body bounded sideways, trying to tackle her sister into a sort of embrace. The lioness purred, frantically rubbed her head along Nala's length, and maybe nicked at Nala's hip a little too hard. After, her rejoicing, Desoto settled down, but she couldn't help the ecstatic expression that enveloped her once dreary mood. Placing a paw forward, she flicked her tongue outwards, and tried to lick Nala's muzzle. "Thank you. Sister" The younger sibling said slowly, and with that, she raised a paw fluidly to try and grasp the folds of skin around her sister's neck.
The lioness parted her jowls and tried to enfold her furry swathed ears. And if her jaws did capture Nala's auditories, she would tug upon them gently, and then let go. Stepping back, she circled the older lioness briefly, before she tried to nudge into Nala again, and slowly ambled in the general direction of the pride land. She honestly didn't know where it was located, but she made it there the first time just by following Mufasa's scent. In the quickest time his scent seemed to be unrecognizable at times, even though she had only spent a short time with the male. In other times, the pungent aroma of the lad seemed like the only thing she could make out. Selective smell, maybe?
Desoto snorted, and looked back towards Nala. A genuine expression over lapping her excited one, she veered and went to the flank of her elder sibling. Craning her neck up slightly to try and nuzzle her once more. The russet female stayed ever so slightly in front of her, trying to direct where they were going. Every now and again she would whip her tail out to the side, almost as if smacking Nala's rump, and a sadistic chuckle would ripple from her lips. Little did Desoto know how long the walk would be from where they were and the pride lands. She had never experienced the endless rolling plains of the Savannah. -Or never really payed attention.
