It was around late night, early morning in the lands that belonged solely to the Jaguars. It had been an uneventful night in the lands, and it looked to remain that way until the morning. Stars twinkled brightly in the sky, but as the seconds tick, ticked by, they were beginning to grow duller and more lack luster. The sun would be rising within another hour, hour and a half perhaps, leading into a new day. Soliloquy meandered slowly through the territory; he had nothing to do lately, but plenty on his mind. The dark colored male blended in terrifically with his surroundings, as the darkness made his coat all the more invisible. Sol’s green eyes glinted in the light of the moon as he walked towards the main water source of the area. Iremli seemed like a peaceful place up to this point, and the Jaguar hadn’t encountered anything out of the ordinary. In fact, he hadn’t encountered anything OR anyone for that matter. The beast walked with a meticulously calculated stride towards his destination. One forepaw would extend forward, followed by a hind one, and then another forepaw went forward, followed by a hind one. As he moved like a ghostly shadow, Sol’s shoulders rolled smoothly within their sockets. Soliloquy’s tail hung near his ankles, as the male was in a relaxed state. The Jaguar’s ears rotated on his head, listening to the soft sound of crickets chirping and serene silence.
When Sol reached the water, he glanced at his reflection for a moment and then lapped at the cold substance. His raspy tongue scooped the water for a few seconds, and then after he felt refreshed, Sol’s tongue swiped over his lips. The black male then slid onto his stomach, extending to his full length, and he relaxed calmly near the edge of the water. Soliloquy glanced up to the sky, and smiled as the faintest warmth of the sun and light began to break through the darkness. The male hoped that the days to come could be as satisfying and placid as this previous one, for Soliloquy wasn’t much for drama. He was a very introverted male and liked the silence. Sol liked to watch the happenings on of others, and only interject when need be. He kept his black, button nose out of the places that it didn’t belong. That’s not to say that he didn’t get into scraps occasionally, the scar on his chest was a representation of that, but for the most part, Sol’s life was chill. Just the way he likes it. Soliloquy sighed deeply and continued to watch the sun rise and gradually take its place in the sky.

The burnt yellow huntress stalked the plains of her lands, the air blowing through her pelt as she did so she watched the sun with a grin knowing that the prey would just be waking up but just then her grin faded as a new scent whiffed past her dark pink nose, it was no scent that she had ever encountered before especially not on her lands!,this instantly angered the usually calm female as she gave up her plans for an early meal after all that could wait, first of all she had to check this out and second of all if the big cat was not a jaguar or even if it was if they did not bow to her command she would chase them from her land. she would not stand for someone just invading her territory!. she stopped stalking and broke out into a run.
Running straight toward the stranger that had wondered into her territory, a snarl already building in her throat as she pushed her body to run faster, the invader came into view in no time as she slid to a stop her eyes narrowing as the dust kicked up around her, the snarl growing louder as she was out-raged that this male had decided that he would just wonder onto her territory. after all the hard work that she had done to claim it!, well it was not really that hard seeing how all she did was make sure that no other big cat was in the area or that none had left a scent marker but still this was her land and she would not stand for any invader!, but just as she went to attack the male she found herself unable to do so. she could not understand why she could not attack him but decided that there had to be a logical reason for him being here anyway.
"Who the hell are you and why are you on MY land!" the female shouted in an very annoyed voice, it was clear that she did not like him being there for another second, as she sat down awaiting his response, her eyes starting to trace his body well he was good looking to say the least but still he was an invader! she should not be having those thoughts about an invader!. she shook her head then snarled once more now growing impatient. she wanted answers and she wanted them now!

Soliloquy was completely oblivious to his surroundings as he watched the sun rise slowly, yet steadily, into the sky. The male loved to watch the sunrise and the sunset, it made him happy. Something about the serene peace calmed his soul. Soliloquy let a smile grace his features, but it quickly disappeared as he was about to be charged by the the owner of the lands. Of course the male wasn't about to be ran into by the female, that would be stupid, so he sprang rather agilely to his paws in surprise with a stifled yelp. He wasn't planning for this to happen, that for sure, but this situation was to be expected. Soliloquy had traveled to many lands and this had happened numerous times before. Perhaps he shouldn't have been so naive and actually examined the situation before just coming here. If he'd paid attention, he could smell the markings made by the she-Jaguar, but he had ignored them. So much for placid calmness and quiet.
Sol didn't react brashly to the female in return for her actions, for he knew that he was the one who made the mistake and came here without permission. This male's demeanor was also very low key, so he had no inclination to retaliate against her. Being that he was raised as a gentleman, this male knew that fighting a female wasn't a respectable thing to do. Instead, Soliloquy dipped his head lowly and his lime green eyes set on the female. There was little to no emotion on his face, though there was a hint of friendliness in his mannerisms. For being such a solitary cat, Soliloquy knew the etiquette required upon entering a new land.
"Pardon me ma'am, I had no intention of being a trespasser, I merely was watching the moon, as I do every night, and ended up here." Sol couldn't understand why the lady stopped and didn't just pummel into him like a freight train, but he had to admit that he was very grateful. The male had enough scars, he didn't want anymore to add to his collection.

"Pardon me ma'am, I had no intention of being a trespasser, I merely was watching the moon, as I do every night, and ended up here."
She wanted to lash out at the male once more but once again she could not bring herself to do so, instead she looked away then to the sky as she spoke softly "Well.. i guess i could forgive you.. after all it is a lovely night" the lone huntress could not believe her own ears but it was to late to take back what she had said even if she had the power to do so he was most likely stronger then her anyway, most males were stronger then their female counterparts and besides for some strange reason she actually felt safe around him, she could not tell if it was because she was longing for the company or if it was something more, but at this point it did not matter they had just met and she was not going to make a fool of herself especially not for a male who invaded her land.
"i just remembered you never told me your name or do you just want me to call you stranger?" Kunta said as she chuckled softly trying to break the tension that filled the air so thickly. she padded around the stranger awaiting his answer but there was no harm in checking out his frame while she did so, he was kind of cute if she could say it was a shame they had to meet under such harsh conditions, all her rage had instantly melted as soon as she laid her eyes upon him but this did not mean her guard had been dropped, her tail twitched from side to side as she now eagerly awaited to know the name of this handsome male.
As she finished walking around him she came to a rest back in the same spot from which she had began, she was feeling a strange feeling that she had never felt before but then again until this moment she had always lived alone, maybe the feeling she felt was just him being around her, but what ever the cause was it made her feel safe and comfortable, so much so she actually started to purr, she had never really found a reason to purr before now.

Soliloquy was quite intrigued on this particular night and early morning, for never in his life had he thought that he would an encounter something like this. He was just doing his normal rounds and watching the stars in the sky when he ventured here. It was an accident, a complete and total accident. However, Sol had to admit that he kinda liked it. He himself was a solitary cat most of the time, it was his nature, and he rarely came into contact with others. He chose to live a quiet life with little drama and even less socialization. Its a wonder why his vocal chords still work. The Melanistic Jaguar nodded a couple times in response to Kunta's words. He caught her restraint as she was tempted to swipe at him, but disregarded it without a second thought. Even if she made a move to attack him Soliloquy wasn't inclined to attack her. Luckily, there was no conflict really. All seemed to be forgiven within a snap of a finger.
"I thank-you for your for your willingness to forgive. Indeed it was a lovely night..." Soliloquy said, green eyes settling on the female once more. The very faintest, most minute hint of a smile cut onto the male's features, though only one who had known Sol for a long time, or those who were good at reading emotions could tell. This creature wasn't the most vocal of his emotions, he just let others discover what he was about. The dark coated male tilted his head to the left and then back again to its normal position when the lady inquired after his name. Of course no mortal being wanted to be called stranger under normal circumstances, and this cat was no different."My parents named me Soliloquy, but most just call me Sol. And you are?" The Jaguar's furred eyebrows raised slightly as the joke was made, but he attempted no further action. Sol's tail twitched behind his frame as he watched the female circle him, and he never really took his eyes off of her.
Soliloquy was pleased that he could make another cat happy, whatever he did. He didn't really have a clue what exactly, but he wasn't completely oblivious. The male could feel something radiating between them, though he couldn't really put his paws on it. Sol's ears rotated on his head as he listened to the purr and his smile was more noticeable at that this point, though it still was a little bit cautious. However, the purring was a good sign, so the male decided that he could relax more than he could before. He had the feeling that there would be no more charging at him, and all was well. The serenity that accompanied stargazing seemed to have returned again.

"I thank-you for your for your willingness to forgive. Indeed it was a lovely night ... My parents named me Soliloquy, but most just call me Sol. And you are?"
"I am kunta, queen of these lands" she said as she smiled softly although that gesture was not needed after all he was on her lands, but for some reason she was drawn closer to him, as she gently leaned on his slide looking up to the sky, her smile growing abit more her tail swaying from side to side, kicking up abit of dust as it did so but the night air took care of it easily as a nice cool breeze blew through the clearing, gently making its way through her pelt and she could see it working its way through his pelt as well, she laid her head down.
"So out of all the lovely lands here why did you pick here?" she said with a playful scoff before closing her eyes but her ears remained on alert awaiting his response, she was sure that he would not keep a beautiful female like her waiting for long anyway, but there was still dangers out there and threats to her territory. she was required to be aware of the things going on around her for the safety of her territory. after all who knows a rogue male or a group could move in and try and take over,
She was not about to let that happen but still there was always that chance that it could happen, that she could be over-powered even forced to be the invaders mate that was one of her worest nightmares, to be forced to mate with someone she was completely disgusted by and loathed. anyway she hoped just the sight of this male with her would make invaders think twice atleast before attempting anything. but then again she could not make him stay if he wanted to leave.

Soliloquy listened to the words of the Jaguar before him and responded, "It's a pleasure, Queen Kunta." Being that she was the primary owner and guardian of these lands, Soliloquy thought it fitting to include Kunta's title as well in his remark. Sol was always a cat to respect ranking, of course, for he knew that they were an important part of every feline's life in the wild. Those that were gifted with a high place in the hierarchy must really be deserving of their rank, or they should be immediately dethroned. Those that were lower on the totem pole must live their lives under the rule of others if they wished to survive comfortably. This female seemed like an adequate keeper of her lands, so there seemed no qualms about it.
The male grunted lightly when his female counterpart slid next to him and laid down. He wasn't used to being that near to anyone, especially within only minutes of meeting them, so it was slightly odd to him. She indeed was a bold creature, and Sol was at the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Though slightly wary of the situation, the Panther stayed where he was, thinking of a reasonable answer to the Jaguar's question. Why did he come here? Sol didn't exactly know for sure. Perhaps it was the draw that this land was most properly suited for the Panther's lifestyle. Lands naturally designated for Jaguars, Panthers, and perhaps even Leopards alike, were the ideal living spaces for those exact creatures. The coolness of the jungle area was wonderful for a cat with an all inky black coat. He could have the comfort of relaxing without going miles searching for shade. Or perhaps maybe it was something else that Soliloquy himself wasn't even aware of.
"I cannot give you a completely certain answer to your question, Lady Kunta, however, the atmosphere in itself has its own attractions." Soliloquy felt at ease here, to be sure. Being that he was a good sized male, he hadn't a care in the world up to this point. He had gotten over a rough patch in his life only a short while ago, but now there was nothing ailing him. Sol watched as Kunta closed her eyes, and it seemed as though all his inhibitions melted away. This is why the male could enjoy his life, he could just sit back and watch the world without a problem.

"I cannot give you a completely certain answer to your question, Lady Kunta, however, the atmosphere in itself has its own attractions."
"that is fine and you don't need to be so formal" the Jaguaress looked at her company with a soft smile on her maw, what could have been a very bloody and horrible encounter had turned into two kindred spirits had found each other and finally Kunta had someone to speak with instead of just trying to fend them off of her land. she lifted her head high into the air as a cool breeze blew through the clearing, she took a deep breathe inhaling any and every scent that were in the area, she could smell the prey that was mere feet away and she could smell her new found friend as well but quickly for whom ever it might of been she could not smell any invading scents, which was most likely for the best because she did not want to get up or bother to move from the male's side at the moment, in fact she had not been this relaxed in years.
After a few moments the queen slowly rose to her feet, as she glanced around for abit before shaking out her sun-burnt pelt before surveying the terrain and the possible prey she then turned to her company her tail swaying from side to side as an evil smirk formed on her maw like it always did when she was in the mood to hunt, not that he would know this but still everything would be come clear for him soon enough, "Are you hungry?"

Soliloquy tilted his head to the left, the right, and then finally in a definitive nod. He had always been taught to respect those around him, but chose to accept the female's wishes anyways. He shrugged to himself and answered simply "As you wish," to her request. It would be slightly awkward to the Panther, but he would get over his vices soon enough. The male was easily adaptable and he wouldn't let this minute thing get to him. Sol liked the relaxed situation as well, for he was very smooth and collected himself. He too could smell the scents about him, and quickly picked up on what Kunta smelled. He could also smell the scent of flowers and foilage lightly scattered throughout the territory as well as the fresh scent of the water they laid next to. Soliloquy glanced into the water, examining his appearance for a moment. One of the most prominent thing was the marking on his chest. It was a permanent reminder of what used to be.
Sol was seemingly zapped out of his momentary trance, upon hearing Kunta's next words. Those lime green eyes of his glimmered slightly with enthusiasm and the male rose to his paws as well. He liked his lips slowly, and a short smile graced his features. "You read my mind. After you," he said lifting a paw in the direction of the unsuspecting prey animals. This outta be interesting, for the male had always been a solo hunter since the day that he was capable. Doing this thing co-op would test him a little bit, and maybe allow him to trust the female a little more than he already did.

"As you wish,"
"If you join my pride, well really help me form the pride then i shall allow you to remain here for as long as you wish" the lone huntress knew what she said and honestly she meant it, after all she couldn't mantain control of these lands on her own forever and besides he was kind of cute, which was what the 'form the pride' comment, any male would be able to catch on, mainly because females unlike males will defend their territory with their life most of the year, the only time female jaguars mainly but it also applies to other female felines as well, the main time they get all friendly or flirty with someone who invaded their territory is when they are in heat and are craving a males attention, some rare females actually crave female attention but that was not the case with kunta, she was happy enough with just Sol. As she came out of her musing she heard him speak up again.
"You read my mind. After you,"
The grin turned into a smirk as she turned and padded toward the unsuspecting prey, But she made it clear that hunting was not the only thing on her mind, her tail swaying wider and wider with each pass, which to any smart feline would know that meant the female was in heat, Kunta was hoping that he would pick up on it but wait until after they have captured their lunch before tending to her needs. after all food was more important, 'expanding' the pride could wait anyway she wanted to get to know him more before she allowed him to become her king anyway, could he handle the pressure of ruling?, could he keep her happy without constantly making cubs, would he be a good father, all those questions ran through her mind, but she remained silent as she lowered her body concealing herself in the somwhat tall grass watching the water-buffalo. "Ready?"

Soliloquy nodded slowly at Kunta's words, debating as to if he wanted to stay here in the lands of Irmeli. This particular male was so used to being alone that he didn't want to be cramped up and forced to abide by rules enforced by others. If more and more cats decided to stay here as the years went by, he would certainly change his mind and leave. But on the other paw, perhaps he could get used to this...different lifestyle. He hadn't been in a pride, clan, or anything of that sort since he was a young cub in his litter. There was some comfort in knowing that others were around. Besides, this place had its own appealing qualities. Sol was an intelligent creature, and he caught on to Kunta's words quickly. His ears folded back on his head slightly in embarrassment, for he had only lived three short years, and there was an important event that impacted his life.
The topic of becoming mates with anyone had only arisen once before and ended horribly. Soliloquy bore the mark on his chest as an end result. The situation involved a female Panther and another male. Sol professed his love for the female, begging, crawling on his stomach, and praying that she loved him too. The female, called Rose, wanted to be with Soliloquy, but another male challenged him. To make a long story short, Sol ended up on his back, scarred and beaten, and the male clawed him in the chest. A large amount of flesh was exposed, and blood spattered on the ground. Never in his life had Sol been in another fight up to this point, but it was the worst fight regardless. The male forced Soliloquy to surrender or lose his life, and Rose was ripped from him. He never saw or heard from her again. The black Panther's heart was literally almost ripped from his chest in an effort to please the one he loved. He would've died to save her life, but then her anguish would probably would've haunted him anyways.
Sol swallowed deeply as the female's scent permeated his nose and he choked and stammered slightly. "Yeah...uh...yeah. Let's go." Soliloquy prowled up next to Kunta, ready to catch a little lunch, but so many things were on his mind.

"Yeah...uh...yeah. Let's go."
"first of all you need to relax and okay i'll pick one out and lead it here where you spring the trap and take it down" with that said the Jaguaress started to stalk toward the prey making sure to keep herself out of sight, she moved closer and closer to them, she then selected a decent sized buffalo and went about getting it away from the rest of the herd through this was alot easier said then done, more then one time the female predator was chased away by the herd but she did not give up, she could feel the male watching her and she'd be damned if she was going to fail when her honor and rep were on the line!, she darted back into the herd one last time and finally the targeted buffalo panicked and ran out of the herd followed closely by the apex predator,
With a quick slap across its hind quarter the buffalo turned but it was not enough and it had gained abit of ground away from its would be killer, Kunta would really have to push herself now to retake the ground and steer the buffalo into the trap before it could make it back to the protection of the herd once more. if that happened then she would have no choice but to call the hunt off because diving into the herd for a fourth time would be suicide and every big cat knew that all to well and she was not willing to die for a meal even if it meant impressing the male that had been watching her this whole time, he would just have to get his joy some other way, she chased the buffalo straight toward her partner in crime.
she pulled away from the chase a few meters away from the trap just to ensure that the prey falls into the trap and dies as planned. she then sat down watching ready to jump in if he needed her to do so but mainly she needed to catch her breathe, after all chasing a prey takes alot out of you especially during the heat of the day, besides she wanted to see what this male had to bring to the pride, after all she couldn't just accept anyone into her pride.

Sol was a little taken off guard by what the female was implying with her words, but he mentally shook himself out of it. He simply replied,"Kay," as he tried to collect himself. They could cross that bridge when they came to it. Now it was time to focus on lunch and all things delicious. The black Panther waited as he was told, his lime green eyes taking in his surroundings. Soliloquy's rounded ears titled on his head like radars and he listened well. He would have to time this ambush just right, or else there could be trouble. Hunting was a risky business for both predator and prey, no matter what anyone said. The male cat rocked his shoulders in his sockets as he anticipated the arrival of the drive by meal. Sol scratched the ground with his claws and his blunt tail flicked behind his frame. 'Let's go, time to get this in gear,' he thought.
As Kunta drove the Buffalo his way, Soliloquy clenched his muscles, and sprang out of his hiding place smoothly. With his claws fully extended, he landed swiftly on the prey animal's back. The Panther gave a small yelp as the creature bucked to get him off fiercely. Sol's hooked claws dug into the Buffalo's hide, and his incisors clamped onto the back of the animal's neck. The effort to get Sol off was successful and the black cat was flung sharply into the dirt. Hanging precariously by one paw, the Panther was dragged in the dry dirt. He was sure to have cuts and bruises after this, if not soreness too. Soliloquy gained momentum, and threw his weight against the Buffalo with all the strength he could muster. The herbivore teetered and tottered before slamming into the ground. Sol was partly crushed beneath the weight, and the wind was knocked out of him for sure. A low growl and a couple of coughs came from the cat.
Soliloquy shoved the creature off of his body before grabbing their prey in the death grip. The Buffalo's neck was already ripped to shreds by the fall, but Sol wanted to make sure it was dead anyways. It wasn't long before the Buffalo took its last breath. The Panther moved off a little bit, and he spit up some blood of his own. His rib was killing him now, because of the impact, but Soliloquy walked it off to where the pain subsided some. That would take a little bit of heal time, but only a week at max. As he prowled back, Sol gave a toothy smile at Kunta before sitting near the kill with a proud look on his features. "It's done," he said happily.

"its done"
This made the female smile he had done it, honestly he actually impressed her and won her over, she stepped in and gently rubbed against him making sure that she would not cause him any harm, after all he had taken a hard fall when taking the buffalo down, she didn't really drop her guard but she had to admit that he had done a very good job killing the prey, but she was not impressed enough to allow him to have the first turn eatting it, she padded over and leaned down taking a chunk out of the side of the dead animal, the blood dripping down her chin and falling to the ground. then and only then did she turn and look at the male. a sly grin on her maw as she started to speak.
"I must admit that was pretty impressive" after saying that she went back to eating her fill of the carcas she then backed away allowing him to take his share if he wanted it, she knew that he would most likely want to since he was the one who had taken it down but then again she had gained the right of eating first because these were her lands plus she was the one who had driven it out from the herd, sure she was pretty sure that he could of done so as well but that was not the point. the point was she did alot of the work as well plus she had run and spent more enegry then he had, so she needed to refill more then he did anyway.
After awhile she rolled over onto her back, her tail blocking her privates so he could not take advantage of her relaxing style. she shook her head softly why was she thinking so pervertedly, after all it was not like they really had anything in common yet she found herself oddly attracted to him, could it just be the fact that she was in heat?, for now that is was she was thinking it was she was just in heat that was all. it was not that she was attracted to him she just wanted 'that' attention. she was pretty sure that the other females were feeling the same way or atleast the jaguars were after all not all big cat females go into heat at the same point in time or the wild would just be one big nasty area for close to a week or two weeks out of the year.

Soliloquy sat where he was, trying to catch his breath. That was a dangerous feat that they had taken on, but it was successful thankfully. The male's heart rate went down slowly, and he resumed his normal breathing. But in a few moments his heart rate when straight back up. He felt when Kunta brush up against him, Sol twitched a little but he couldn't help leaning against her a little bit. Those lime green eyes of his watched as the female began to eat her fill. Regardless of rank or situation, Soliloquy would have let her go first. The male was raised to let females, cubs, and the elderly go first. Those that were males, adults, and able-bodied went after. When Kunta complimented him, Sol thanked her back simplify. When the female finished her fill, Soliloquy took his turn. He ate happily munching loudly on the soft meat and crunchy bones. One of Sol'a favorite things was to eat the marrow within the bones. He licked his chops before coming to settle a little near Kunta.Soliloquy watched as the Jaguar rolled over on her back, though she seemed slightly self-concious for some reason. The thought of what the female said before the hunt came to the Panther again. He could certainly smell the pungent aroma coming from her, and though his mind was telling him no, his body was telling him yes. If the male did end up doing something with Kunta though he would feel slightly like he was betraying his first love. However, there were things telling him otherwise.
