What separates the grasslands from the Savannah is mostly the type of vegetation that grows here. The land is mostly flat with an abundance of plants and herbs but very few trees. To the south of the grasslands you will find the tall-grass prairie which is usually wet and humid regardless of the weather and to the north the short-grass where you will find it is hot and dry all year round.
